Black history told via magazines

A magazine for black people called Hue? Another called Jet? Loads more fascinating examples of how magazines reflected black culture in fifties America available here on Flickr. ‘I have no political agenda. I am simply displaying a slice of the social history of people of color in the 20th century as recorded by popular periodicals,’ explains the owner of the collection.
