Obama-mania
Unsurprisingly, Time magazine’s Person of the Year cover for 2008 was Barrack Obama, and they commissioned Shepherd Fairey to adapt his iconic poster image for the front cover, above. This cover is just the tip of the iceberg, as this collection from Folio shows:
And that’s just the States. Both Esquire and GQ here in the UK feature Obama on this month’s covers (thanks Mark).

My instant feelings were that the Time “silhouette”-cover may be slightly racist and the Radar cover, WTF?
The Atlantic and the Time poster covers are the best.
