Though this was a powerhouse on the urban music publishing scene – its’ exploration of photography and typography was in my opinion, second to none when compared to its’ urban music counterparts – like many iconic publications, it soon lost its’ unique flavour.
It has been a long time since I bought an issue of VIBE and I had even given up leafing through a copy at the newsagent.
You were/will be missed, but long before you’re official closure…
Tragic loss, but inevitable.

to the Hayman comment, he didn’t redesign Blender, but he did redesign in the last year; Radar, which folded, Vibe, which folded, and Harvard 02138, which folded.
