Lectures and Exhibitions

MagCulture creative director Jeremy Leslie is regularly invited to speak at events and conferences. This year he has spoken in Amsterdam, Berlin and Munich, and over recent years he has participated in events in Arnhem, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Dublin, Edinburgh, Luxembourg, Minneapolis, Mississippi, Montreal, New York Rome and Utrecht.

Jeremy was a founder/curator of the Colophon independent magazine conference, is a founder member of Editorial Design Organisation, and with Stack runs Printout, a bimonthly event in London celebrating indepedent magazines. He is co-curator of QVED, Germany’s annual magazine conference and organiser of the annual Modern Magazine conference in London. He writes a regular column for Creative Review and often appears on Monocle24’s The Stack.

We also programme hands-on workshops for students and working designers, providing knowledge and context from which ongoing projects can be jointly discussed, critiqued and improved. Recent workshops have taken place with students in Hong Kong and with publishing companies in Belgium, South Africa, Dubai and London.

The Protein Future of Publishing discussion takes place in London on June 10, featuring magCulture’s Jeremy Leslie, Steve Watson (Stack), Dave lane (The Gourmand) and Charlie Robin-Jones (Dazed Digital).

The Monocle Summer Fayre takes place on the weekend of June 14/15, and the magCulture pop-up shop will be there selling some of our favourite magazines. Full details to follow.
