Site update

We’ve been working overtime to redesign the magCulture site for the past few weeks, and had hoped to launch it this week. But we’re ready now to unveil it on Monday. This is the third redesign since we launched nine years ago, and is much needed for several reasons.

The main one reflects the changes here at magCulture; since writer Madeleine Morley joined the team, the number of stories we’re running has increased and we needed a better starting experience to the site. The new landing page will present six stories – essentially a week’s content – at a time, and the popular Overmatter updates will be ever-present on the page.

Moving away from the blog structure encouraged us to look at the name of the site; what started as a small blog has become a busy reference point for the magazine world. Our reviews and stories will now be published under the name magCulture Journal, and the other parts of magCulture will be more evident – our design work, online shop and events will all be better highlighted. And fully responsive.

The new site will provide the platform for a number of other exciting developments here at magCulture, the first being confirmation of this years ModMag conference. Watch this space!

And let us know what you think of the new look when it launches.
