Brit Design Awards winners

Good to see magazines not only shortlisted but winning at the Design Museum’s Brit Design Awards.

As well as the all-black edition of Vogue Italia (below) winning the Fashion category, an entrant I completely overlooked in my first post on the Awards – Make – won the Interactive category. Make is a small-format DIY technology title from the US that has been around a while but seems to have found it’s time in today’s financial climate. The magazine and website are built around a growing community of people building and sharing home-made technology. It’s a beautifully designed piece of print which I'll return to shortly with more pictures. The win is a piece of good news following the recent closure of it’s sister publication Craft.
