The Spring 2025 edition of Tribune is themed ‘Facing The Future Again,’ and begins with an editorial letter exploring the modernist American poet Charles Olson’s assertion that we should ‘put war away with time, come into space,’ a rallying cry to put the past to rest in order to build a better future. The question for this issue then, posed by editor Alex Niven on the eightieth anniversary of VE Day, is this: ‘Can we confidently say that life has continued to improve for those born in the decades since 1945?’
