Justsmile is a magazine to be found at the 'cross-section of fine art, fashion, ideas, self-expression, and inclusivity', all the while working to shine a light on Black and People of Colour's (PoC) work in particular.
Issue #6 is titled ‘Eyes on the Prize,’ and explores the intersection between sports, fashion and culture. This time there are four cover stars: renowned dancer and choreographer, Bill T. Jones, Carl Fisher, a previously unknown 25-year-old motocross rider from Las Vegas, and this edition’s cover story duo, Carmelo and Kiyan Anthony, ‘a parent and child who are at opposite ends of their basketball careers.’ Also inside: writer Morgan Becker takes a closer look at Muhammad Ali’s beloved Cartier Tank, Haitian photographer Philip-Daniel Ducasse showcases his latest work, a portfolio of Ghanaian athleticism titled ‘Muscle Memory of a Place,’ and the team meet with three visual artists, Emmanuel L. Desir, Enrique Garcia and Sable Elyse Smith.
