A Guide to Fry an Egg

'The Egg Theory on Photography'

A petit, saddle-stitched essay investigating the 'uncanny similarities' of the process between frying an egg and taking a photograph. Framed through sociologist Herbert Blumer's theory of 'symbolic interactionism', this little 'zine-esque' publication by Hong Kong-born artist Manyi Chan is really quite eggcellent.

In Manyi Chan's words: 'Photography, or the egg, can be seen as a taken-for-granted fact that I want to disintegrate and investigate.' Neatly designed and, visually, a pleasure to flick through.
