Published as a reaction to the recent extremism and intolerance in Brazil, Quilo presents the work of 38 largely local contemporary photographers and six short story writers. The 300 pages cover the vast country, each region having its own section, and including traditions, modern life, portraiture, reportage, cities and countryside.
It’s beautifully designed and produced, and is a welcome arrival from an area of the world we see little of on our shelves.
