When the pandemic caused the end of many travel publications, it also had the knock-on effect of putting many freelancers out of a job. JRNY aims to support said freelancers by publishing essays, photography and more from an international set of travel writers and photographers.
Issue #6 highlights Taiwan and sustainability. The cover story looks into the island's approach to natural and historic preservation while navigating modernity and change. Other travels include the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, coastal foraging in Wales, taking the slow boat through Greece, and the reinvention of Boston.
