Back after a hiatus, is MC1R magazine. The name refers to how geneticists refer to the melanocortin 1 receptor, one of the key proteins involved in regulating mammalian skin and hair colour. It is also the 'Magazine for redheads.'

From strawberry blondes to the deepest auburn, this smartly conceived little publication features redheads of all varieties, taking the topic and running with it all over the place — from food to fashion to art to sex — somehow managing to feel simultaneously irreverent and deadly serious all at the same time.

This, their seventh issue, is the 'blow up' issue.

On the Journal:
‘The Hamburg-based magazine for red-heads is still going strong – it’s obviously found its niche and has a strong community of ginger followers. Issue five continues with much of the same, and that’s art and design based articles focused on the culture surrounding red hair...' From Coverage: November 2016
