In the opening letter of the Summer 2025 edition, editor Dan Jolin declares a ‘new era for the magazine,’ following the celebration of its fifth anniversary last issue. Described as ‘chunkier, funkier and packed with extra board-game goodness,’ this might just be Senet’s most ambitious issue yet. Highlights include a conversation with Ruth Haigh, longtime Senet fan and founder of The Treehouse Board Game Café in Sheffield; reassuring praise for Catan amidst claims that ‘the King’ of the tabletop world ‘is dead’; plus, a love letter to board game evenings.
