It's been a little while — three years to be precise — but the soul-soothing journal of contemporary tea culture is back. Bridging older traditions and current practices around tea making and drinking, it's great to have Journal du Thé back on our shelves.
For their fourth edition, an encouragement towards greater peace, collaboration and understanding persists. Thematically, plants make themselves presents. From roasted rice in green tea (a personal favourite of shop manager Danielle), to 'the herbs, roots, and cereals that make up Korean tea culture', as well as a treasured recipe for Indian Cha Masala. (The printed magazine is now also using vegetable-based inks).
