Following a first issue about Amsterdam, the second issue of this mag about queer nightlife and culture heads east to Vietnam. ‘There’s no better way to capture today’s queer nightlife in Vietnam than through the narratives of its seemingly contrasting, yet deeply complementary two largest cities,’ according to the editors.
This isn’t a travel guide, it’s a reflection of the two cities’ queer scenes expressed through poetry, photo-reportage and infographics. It examines the history of sexuality in the country, giving a sense of how the clubbing and LGBTQIA+ culture has developed, and introducing the local communities and collectives behind that growth. It’s upbeat character is well represented by the stickers scattered across the front cover, each a logo of one of the featured queer collectives.
