The Funambulist #49

200 x 250 mm, 80 pages
Paris, France (English-language)
Bimonthly
Editor-in-chief: Léopold Lambert
Graphic design: Akakir Studio

A magazine concerning the politics of space and bodies, which along with its podcast and blog, is building an archive for anti-colonial, anti-racist, queer, and feminist struggles.

Reflecting on the American Supreme Court cases overturning Affirmative Action and blocking student loan forgiveness along with the protests in France of the murder of Nahel M., editor Sónia Vaz Borges draws connections between current views of education to revolutionary and liberating practices. This issue encourages readers to expand their understanding of education as something beyond classroom walls and hierarchical instruction.

With cover artwork by Bronx-based artist Shellyne Rodriguez.
