magCulture x citizenM talks

magCulture x citizenM present two evenings exploring travel in reality and travel in the mind

As part of the magCulture spring events programme, we’re delighted to announce we’ve teamed up with citizenM hotels for two talks exploring travel writing and literary magazines.

1 — Travel in Real Life: Travel magazines, 12 April
Delve into the world of travel writing and meet the magazine makers defining where we venture to and how we experience those places. For our first event we’ll be joined by:

Kate Hamilton editor-in-chief, Suitcase
Liz Schaffer, editor and creative director, Lodestars
Sarah Warwick, editor, N by Norwegian

The three talks will be followed by a discussion chaired by magCulture’s Jeremy Leslie and drinks in the cloudM bar.

About our speakers:
Kate Hamilton is a journalist and the Editor-in-chief of Suitcase, a multimedia travel and fashion publication that redefines luxury travel for a millennial audience. She always travels with books and an excessive amount of stationery.

Liz Schaffer moved from Sydney to London six years ago, lured by the city's creative scene and sense of possibility. After working as a freelance photographer and travel writer she decided to launch Lodestars Anthology - a travel magazine that explores a single country every issue. The Japan magazine, is the next issue to land, with magazines on New Zealand and France currently taking shape.

Sarah Warwick is the editor of N by Norwegian, an award-winning in-flight magazine that’s filled with original, intelligent, beautiful stories inspired by Norwegian Air’s network of destinations.
