Marketing/operations assistant


Part-time, 3 weekdays per week, 24 hours total
£22k pro rata
Responsible to the creative director

magCulture exists to highlight editorial creativity across all aspects of publishing. We love magazines!


Main purpose of this new role
—Responsible for the smooth running of all marketing operations at magCulture. Maintaining and improving clear, strategic links between all current aspects of the business: shop, events, podcast, journal etc.
—This is a new position, and we anticipate it growing rapidly.


Main focus
—Help develop and follow our marketing schedule, ensuring everything happens on time and to budget.
—Improve links between all our activities: Journal posts, subscriptions, window displays, commercial partnerships, live events etc.
—Chase and collate input from other team members as necessary.
—Help develop and execute promotions across the business.
—Keep records of all communciations, leads and campaigns.


Other
—Receive and respond to unsolicited marketing ideas/requests from potential partners, help evaluate these with the team.
—Search out new marketing partners for our activities.
—Source new business/corporate customers.
—Contribute to marketing plans and marketing creative for all aspects of the business.
—Plan and execute Instagram campaigns.


Essential Skills and experience

—Excellent communication skills.
—Knowledge and appreciation of the independent magazine scene.
—Professional experience of Instagram and other social media.
—Must be able to work independently but take direction from senior team members as required.
—Must be organised, tidy, and willing to pitch in on other projects and duties as needed.
—Experience of working in a creative arts environment advantageous.
—Experience of e-commerce also advantageous.

Google Sheets, Adobe Creative Cloud, Shopify, Instagram, Twitter, Asana, Slack, etc
