The latest issue of Port arrives next week and we’re excited to share it’s two new front cover designs and an update about the London-based magazine’s plans.

The pair of covers mark the return to the title of creative director Matt Willey. One of the founders of the magazine, Matt has designed occasional front covers since he moved to NYC and the New York Times Magazine.
This issue sees him take over responsibility for the creative direction of the whole magazine and means the reuniting of the Zembla magazine team (highlighted in our latest Podcast) of him and editor Dan Crowe.

The covers promise great things for the issue; I particularly like the smaller use of the Port logo and the way the typography at the bottom of each cover tie the two very different images together.
The magazine is planning a new sustainability supplement, to be launched with issue 25 this autumn, and which will be designed by Astrid Stavro at Pentagram.
They are also moving to new offices at Somerset House, and will be launching a series of events at London club Blacks. These nights will highlight the key parts of the magazine: design, music, literature, art and fashion.
