Established with the aim of publishing 'art & writing created through a lens of diaspora and displacement by BIPOC', Carnation is a submission-based publication that has its roots in Winnipeg. Essential to the magazine is its notion of place, itself arising from stolen ancestral lands, it provides a creative space for displaced communities to 'dream new worlds into existence'.

After it's recent redesign by magCulture's very own Osman Bari, the 3rd issue of Carnation enters our shelves in a baptism of 'Fire'. Not really - that's just the theme of this vibrant new addition. Featuring desert poetry, meditations on the spice-related language of microaggressions, and plenty more to spark your imagination and light the fire within.
