A Magazine Curated By — Erdem

230 x 295 mm, 200 pages
Antwerp, Belgium (English-language)
Editor-in-chief: Dan Thawley
Art Direction: Mike Meiré
Guest curator: Erdem Moralioglu

A Magazine Curated By describes itself as ‘a fashion magazine that explores the universe of a chosen fashion designer in each issue… Each issue celebrates this designer’s ethos: their people, their passion, their stories, emotions, fascinations, spontaneity and authenticity.’

This issue is guest curated by British-Turkish fashion designer and creative director of his eponymous London-based label, Erdem Moralioglu.

From the editors: 'As a non-identical twin, Erdem reflects upon the themes of duality and mirroring, deconstructing the notion of twinning and the fluidity of gender in his exploration of Orlando by Virginia Woolf and the 1993 film by Sally Potter, as well as personal archives from Aubrey Beardsley’s The Yellow Book (1894-97) and the defunct queer magazine After Dark from the 1960s.'

On the cover: Ileya photographed by Ethan James Green.
