Barcelona-born La Nueva Carne (The New Meat) is an analogue exploration of how digital technologies are changing human lives, with each issue taking one aspect of this vital subject as its theme.
This time it’s Memory; ‘We constantly delegate our memories to external media and train algorithms to think for us through these memories. That makes us light and powerful. It also makes us depedendent and vulnerable,’ say the editors in the introduction.
Inside the smartly designed and cleverly visualised issue (including a remarkable embossed image of a face on the otherwise blank cover), read about Cringe as the eighth cardinal sin, The New Nostalgia, Synthetic Memories and more.
It’s been a while since we had this tile on our shelves; we’re excited to see it back.
