Polaris #1

180 x 260 mm, 106 pages
Tokyo, Japan (Japanese and English-language)
First published 2021
Editor: Takuro Nuruki
Designer: Yuta Saiki
Illustrator: Wang Mi

A new nostalgia-heavy travel magazine from Japan filled with illustration, hazy photo essays and personal accounts of journeys taken to places including Cambodia, Japan and the UK. Its name, Polaris, refers to the ways in which people used to use the stars to guide them (and not just Tripadvisor...)

It's a dreamy first document of travel, memory and photography themed, appropriately, 'Things in memories, things on records'.
