Published by The Modernist Society, the small-format and currently square-shaped The Modernist (its physicality changes regularly) explores 20th century architecture and design via quarterly, themed-issues.
This is their 44th issue exploring 'Layout'. In its opening letter, the editors explain that the aim is to delve into the idea of 'Layout' and 'how modernism has sought (with varying degrees of success) to bring clarity and coherence to our lives via the use of good design and no small amount of "rules".'
