The Paris Review #242

155 x 235 mm, 282 pages
New York, US
Published since 1953
Editor: Emily Stokes
Art director: Na Kim
Designer: Matt Willey

Originally published from Paris, the review moved to New York in the sixties but retained its name. It has built an enviable reputation for discovering the best new voices in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Writers in this issue include Cynthia Cruz, Peter Mishler and Timmy Straw. Plus poet N. Scott Momaday and author Colm Toibin are interviewed about their writing processes.

Today, the magazine rejoices in a cover design template design by Matt Willey referencing its design history. And there’s always a little art among the words—this time including Lily van der Stokker’s series of pen drawings, Mary Manning’s mix of photography and ephemera, and Jeremy Deller presents a video of Prince’s final live show, accessible via QR code.
