‘Be the most cultured person you know’
Born out of Los Angeles in 2011, Cultured is a curation by Sarah Harrelson that bridges the glamour and intrigue of Hollywood with art, fashion and design.
This issue is dedicated to ‘Art + Food.’ At the start are snappy interviews introducing the readers to artists, such as Alison Saar, Nat Ward and Takako Yamaguchi, in one-page bursts. Erik Piepenburg writes about the queer restaurants that thrived in the 90s and their cultural importance as ‘a community centre with fries.’ A mouth-wateringly visual list of New York food spots and the Yelp/TripAdvisor/Google reviews that rave about them. Plus, actors Andrew Scott and Benicio Del Toro sit down with their beloved actor friends and discuss the beauty of stage acting, as well as, the joys of being on a Wes Anderson set.
