Created by a couple of self-identified ‘makers’, the Glasgow-born publication We Are Makers exists to ‘connect the reader and the maker’ while providing an opportunity for in-depth stories to be shared, craft to be (deservedly) shown off and creative communities cultivated.
This thirteenth issue upholds their commitment to providing a place where readers can connect directly and meaningfully by platforming incredible makers from all over the world, free from algorithmic interference.
Expanding their global network, for this issue the team travelled far and wide, speaking with tile-maker César Leblic in Paris, woodcarver Lara R. Domeneghetti on the Nordic island of Ålesund, embroidery artist Meredith Woolnough in Australia, and neon artist Megan Foo in Singapore. Plus, plenty more stops along the way.
