We’re recruiting a new manager for the magCulture Shop.
This full-time role is a key part of our small team. If you love magazines and want to work right in the heart of the indie magazine world this is the job for you!
You’ll need to combine that essential enthusiasm with calm organisational skills and excellent customer service. The Shop is a unique space dedicated to a selection of over 550 magazines sourced from across the world. Our customers are international too, ranging from local creative businesses (we’re based in Clerkenwell, London) to global visitors. It is a destination, and has been described as ‘the spiritual home of independent publishing.’
The role of manager is a busy, five-day a week one, serving customers, overseeing the arrival of stock and keeping the shop in good order, and sorting our daily online orders. You will need to be able to answer customer questions and be the public face of the Shop.
The entire magCulture business is based at the same address, so there will also be opportunities to contribute to all areas of the business, including writing and social media as well as pop-up shops and our regular events.
2020 will see exciting growth at magCulture, this is a chance to be central to that development.
