Fiera collected together the best new work from the world’s design fairs. Launched by editor Katie Treggiden and magCulture, it provided a unique biannual guide to contemporary product design. Katie established her voice via the confessionsofadesigngeek blog, and saw Fiera as a way to broaden her coverage of new designers; for us it was the perfect way to explore the realities of launching and managing your own magazine.

The covers were conceived to avoid pushing individual designers to the fore, a democratic approach reflected thtoghout the magazine. The design used a tight structure against which the content pushes; decoration is kept to a minimum, the character coming from the basic elements on the page. We particularly enjoyed using illustration to balance the many product photographs.

Launched via Kickstarter, four issues of Fiera were produced from 2014-16.
