Here comes the World Cup
Forget the Panini stickers and wallcharts, it’s the magazines about the World Cup that will be exercising us over the next few weeks. Where better to start than this set from last week’s New York Times Magazine, featuring three of the potential tournament stars shot by Dylan Coulter. They look great as a set typographically, but what I really like is the way the portraits reflect the subjects’ characters.
Messi looks slightly anxious (apparently he is regularly sick in the run up to matches); Neymar loves to showboat; and Ronaldo is just… cocky.
