I’m a sucker for all things Lego, so was instantly attracted to this new show curated by design magazine Icon.
Part of the celebrations around their 100th issue, the exhibition consists of the recent Lego models of architectural landmarks – the Empire State Building, Frank Lloyd Wrights’s Fallingwater etc – the twist being they Lego kits have been reassembled by contemporary architects. The above example is Fallingwater, reinvented by London practice Make. Visitors can also attempt their own Lego masterpieces.
The Icon Build Off takes place at the new Central St Giles building , St Giles High Street, London WC2H 8AG as part of London Design Week, 21-25 September.
