Berlin Living Rooms

By Dominique Nabakov
246 x 290mm, hardback
Originally published in 1998, republished by Apartamento, 2021

Part of a series of three books, the 'Living Rooms' project was initially based on a photo essay commissioned for The New Yorker in 1995 on ‘New York Living Rooms’. Berlin Living Rooms is the third instalment in photographer Dominique Nabokov’s series of interior photography works (the second book in the series focused on Paris).

The series features 35mm film photographs of living rooms from creatives living in Berlin in 2014. It’s reissued today by Apartamento magazine’s publishing arm.

Apartamento: How many living rooms do you think you’ve photographed now?

Dominique Nabokov: I don’t know. How many are there?
