Since 2020, each issue of arts biannual Raging has spotlighted young artists from China and the Global South, bringing together illustration, photography and other mixed media work in response to a specific theme. For this fifth issue, it's Mysterious Creatures—an exploration of ‘the meanings, words and loves of animals and monsters.’
While the main magazine is published in Mandarin, each copy is accompanied by an English-language supplement offering translations of all the original texts, a paper puppet print by Wang Kouda and a small postcard by Kurokawa Kiko. All packed together in a linocut-stamped envelope.
