Founded in, or 'away from the flock' since, 1949, the almost-monthly ArtReview focuses on expanding contemporary art's audience and reach. Within its pages, art is observed, featured and reviewed.

The April 2024 issue covers all things Venice Biennale in anticipation of its opening and 60th anniversary. On the cover, it's the French representative and multi-disciplinary artist Julien Creuzet, who is harnessing the power of the Biennale pavilion to subvert and expose France's colonial history. The artist chose to launch his Biennale project from his birthplace and former French colony Martinique, instead of Paris.

This edition also features Koo Jeong A's project for the Korean Pavilion, a retrospective of ArtReview's coverage of the Venice Biennale over the last six decades, and speculation of what comes next for the famous biennial as it reaches ‘the end of globalisation.’
