Pilot is for ‘lovers of art, music, fashion, film, literature, honest lifestyle content or existential chronicles by sleep deprived twenty-somethings that don’t fit into any of those categories’.
Another issue, another format! This fourth edition is a double spiral bound affair, bringing together the magazine's two halves—the text riso printed in orange on a warm white matte stock on one side, in contrast to the glossy papered images of the other—allowing the reader to arrange endless text-image combinations while either compressing or expanding the reading experience from single to triple page spreads. The map-like quality, complete with a grid of coordinates on each page (as opposed to page numbers) and instructions on navigation, plays nicely into this issue's theme, Terra Incognita, a cartographic ‘admission of the unknown’:
‘In Issue 04, we're paying homage to this label as a ferocious act of mysticism - celebrating pockets of culture, and of ourselves, that have refused endless attempts of defining and rationalizing...
