Each October, the city of Lucerne, Switzerland hosts a multi-day graphic design festival called Weltformat, providing a platform for designers and enthusiasts to engage with and exchange ideas. Starting in 2020, the festival organisers began publishing an accompanying magazine that collects interviews, text, images, and other behind-the-scenes details from the event.
‘Life's a Pitch,’ according to this year's festival theme. Writers and designers are no strangers to the demands and emotional upheavals of pitching – Weltformat is most interested in what happens to the idea when its pitch fails.
