Themed ‘Indie Forever’, this is the 20th anniversary issue for AW23, marking two decades for the (now hardcover) magazine, which initially started out as a small-format zine. Reflecting on the occasion, founder Kira Stachowitsch writes: At the end of the day, it's not our format nor any one recognisable logo font that makes INDIE—it's the people behind each page of each issue. Because being independent as a magazine is not simply about doing things on your own, accountable to no one... As for INDIE's future, I know one thing. We're more than ready to switch it up once more.

Featuring the likes of Billy Idol, Eartheater, 1 Granary and more, plus a dip into the Indie archives at the end of the issue, featuring photography, spreads and reflections from issues past.
