All 5,000 copies of the latest issue of Slanted magazine feature a unique front cover image. The pictures, based on an existing body of work by artists Sylwana Zybura and Tomas C. Toth, are the result of an experiment with machine learning, highlighting the theme of the issue, AI. We hear from Editor-in-chief Lars Harmsen about the process.

For its 500th issue, French newspaper supplement M Le magazine du Monde published a special issue last month, collecting together all 500 of its front covers to date. The cover of the special issue was plain white; you had to look inside for the key to that.
