‘It’s why we run’

Like the Wind brings together stories for, by, and about people who run. This isn’t a magazine about how to run, but why. The perfect place for those looking for community and a little inspiration to lace up their shoes; whether for the first time or just the first time in a while.

This edition is partly devoted to long races—extremely long ones at that—honing in on the growing interest in 200 mile ‘ultras’ across several features, spanning Italian mountain ranges to our very own Tunnel 200 in Bath.

Elsewhere, Jessie Zapo examines how female runners and people of colour continue to face higher levels of risk on the road than men. An interview with photographer Geoff Lowe—whose work adorns this edition’s cover—traces his career to date, while a conversation with Doug Mayer delves into his graphic novel ‘The Last of the Giants’, shaped by his personal relationship to the sport.
