‘A summoning of ancient terrors’

Named for the poisonous plant and mythical ingredient for witch’s flying ointment, Hellebore is a spooky little zine dedicated to British folk horror and the occult. The pen-and-ink botanical illustrations combined with a haunted pastoral design are reminiscent of the Wicker Man meets Victorian nature guides, while its compact size makes it a pocket grimoire for any aspiring mystical enthusiast.

The latest issue is about storytelling, specifically ‘the power of myths that keep returning to us in one guise or another’ with a particular focus on England and Ireland’s natural landscapes and how they may have been formed. (Spoiler alert: It was GIANTS). So, gather around the fire, grab a marshmallow and listen in for some spooky stories...
