The colossal, highly visual French fashion tome Self Service celebrated its 30th anniversary not so long ago and its mission remains, in their own words, ‘to encourage and celebrate artistic freedom.’

This Spring/Summer 2026 issue is titled ‘Move On’, mirroring editor Ezra Petronio’s rallying cry to his younger self: ‘Get over yourself and move on!’ This call to arms is echoed in the ‘Initiated Dialogs’ section, which features a treasure trove of career advice from veterans of the creative industries, with thoughtful insights from the likes of Gert Jonkers, Pieter Mulier, Patti Smith, Jonathan Anderson, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Duffy and Dries Van Noten.

On the cover is Swedish model Signe Michaelsson, photographed by Johnny Dufort and styled by Suzanne Koller; inside, she showcases the best looks of the season in an extended glossy editorial. Elsewhere, you’ll find a stylised catalogue of American fashion designer Willy Chavarria’s belongings—from an 18kt gold, pearl and gemstone rosary to a coiffed lock of hair; each item is centred within the rectangular frame, underscoring his reverie for the chosen objects. A tender tribute to the late Melanie Ward closes the issue, featuring words from David Sims, Jo-Ann Furniss, Kim Jones, Kate Moss, and more.
