Movement Research, founded in 1978, is one of the world's leading laboratories for dance. Their mission? To reflect cultural, economic, and political diversity within the movement community. In 1990, the publication was created as a physicalised forum made by artists, for artists discussing the current explorations and critiques of performance.

In this latest issue, the focus is on 'Research': what is the relationship between dance and performance within the university system? How seriously is the subject taken in the academic sphere? The large format newsprint-style edition contains interviews, conversations, and imagery that formulate varied conclusions to each of these questions.
