'The uplifting current affairs magazine'

Positive News was established to report on inspirational issues and examine society’s challenges through a lens of progress and possibility – ‘constructive journalism’. Originally produced as a newspaper and distributed free by volunteers, it was relaunched as a magazine in 2015.

This July-September 2024 issue celebrates 'Loaves of the People: How the movement for good, affordable, bread is on the rise.' Inside, 'passionate bakers and campaigners from all corners of the UK are working on raising our game when it comes to bread. We can do far better than cheap, ultra-processed supermarket loaves, they say, democratising good bread so it’s available to all.'

On the Journal:
‘Newspaper is more throwaway,’ agrees Sean Dagan Wood. ‘And it’s less about how something is presented. We wanted to do justice to our journalism and vision of our organization, and to create something with content that’s got deeper value.’ Medium and message now cohere. Read more
