First published 2019
Editor: Maria J. Pérez Cuervo
Art director: Nathaniel Hébert

Named for the poisonous plant and mythical ingredient for witch's flying ointment, Hellebore is a spooky little zine dedicated to British folk horror and the occult. The pen-and-ink botanical illustrations combined with a haunted pastoral design are reminiscent of the Wicker Man meets Victorian nature guides, while its compact size makes it a pocket grimoire for any aspiring mystical enthusiast.

The latest issue is about Animals, specifically uncanny hares, demonic felines, mysterious wrens and ravens, magical toads, and more. Each featured animal comes from British folktales, both traditional and contemporary, from the history of ravens' near extinction to a revisit of Elizabeth Hand's classic folk horror Wylding Hall.
