Large-format Mousse gives a platform to international criticism of contemporary culture, commissioning essays and artwork in each issue.
This Winter 2026 edition recognises a burgeoning interest in the concept of collective intelligence, offering a series of reflections on the ‘methodologies of the collective.’ It opens with a conversation between artists Petrit Halilaj and Danh Vo, who emphasise the strength in thinking collectively. Elsewhere, Shumon Basar highlights the importance of ‘comment as king’, while Edward W. Said’s formative essay ‘Speaking Truth to Power’ (1993) questions the nature of our own truths. In the now regular section printed on uncoated paper, you’ll also find a conversation between artist Tobias Pils and playwright Travis Jeppesen.
Plus, a glossy poster insert tucked into the centre spread features ‘Three Couples with Large Areas of Blue on Their Bodies’, an oil painting by artist Tang Yongxiang.
