‘A celebration of art, craft, design, and creativity’
Amsterdam-born Fanfaretti (hand stamped in faded silvery ink on the cover) pairs craft and design with ‘a positive outlook on life’, spotlighting makers and creatives in the Netherlands and around Europe through themed issues. It feels particularly satisfying in the hands, its cream matte pages pairing nicely with the soft-hued photography inside.
This third edition is themed ‘Textiles’, weaving together conversations with fashion writers and designers, textile artists, photographers and—as is now customary—a type designer, all accompanied by calming soft focus photography. In Mallorca, the Fanfaretti team meet with Danish designer Laura Tønder, founder of upcycled womenswear brand Kettel Atelier, stopping off at the studios of Léna Théodore, Clothilde Bouan and Noémie Lacroix in France and Mariapia Mineo in Italy, before returning to the Netherlands to speak with Vogue Italia-featured luxury streetwear designer Luca Kemkes and artist Sofie Aaldering, whose organic cloud-like sculptures champion an innovative approach to traditional craftsmanship.
Limited edition of 100 copies, with two postcards inside.
