‘Sharing the pleasures and rewards of a lively conversation’

Aiming to read like a conversation, Friends on the Shelf is an anthology of ‘true life’ writing from professionals and amateurs alike. This eleventh issue—marking five years of publishing—brings you stories from the lives of twenty-three different people, told in their own voices; fourteen new contributors and nine returning.

‘This time, we have two stories that mention ghosts and two about going to auditions. Covid also crops up, described now as something that happened in the alomost distant past, though its repucussions are being felt today,’ explain the team.

In a world full of noise and angst, Friends on the Shelf is a reminder that beyond the headlines, people and their lives are full of calmer, gentler and happier moments than might otherwise appear to the case.
