‘The uplifting current affairs magazine’

Positive News was established to report on inspirational issues and examine society’s challenges through a lens of progress and possibility—‘constructive journalism’. Originally produced as a newspaper and distributed free by volunteers, it was relaunched as a magazine in 2015.

This issue for April-June 2026 is themed ‘Work in Progress’, and covers ‘the long, uneven journey from childhood to adulthood and the people and ideas helping to light that path’. Headlining the edition is a feature examining the success of Ireland’s newly established basic income for artists initiative, mapping an optimistic blueprint for the future of young UK-based creatives. 

On the Journal:
