160 x 210 mm, 182 pages (plus folded poster)
Hydra, Greece
Annual
First published 2023
Editors: Josh Hickey and Filip Niedenthal
Art Director: Anna Piwowar

First published last year, this new journal is a collection of criticisms, essays, and images published by the founders of a book store on the Greek island of Hydra.

Debuting with ‘Utopia’, this sophomore issue is explores the theme of ‘Vacation’— described in their words as the frayed edges of that very specific and often troubling parentheses of time’. Inside, contributions from the likes of philosopher Byung-Chul Han, model Saskia de Brauw and Panos Giannikopoulos, curator of the Greek pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Plus musings on water, grandmothers, childhood homes, solo travel, post-vacation blues and a wish for a well stocked bar.

This issue also includes a foldout poster, presumably of a still from Susan Sontag's film Unguided Tour, as referenced in the editor's letter.
