Alan Fletcher
I was wondering how to mark the death of British graphics pioneer Alan Fletcher here, when Angela sent me this link to The Independent's obituary by Emily King. I never met the man but am absolutely clear he was central to the development of the world we designers live and work in, what we now call the graphic design industry. Emily's piece describes him and his position well, while The Design Museum has a fuller piece as background to it's long-planned, upcoming exhibition on his life and work.
